I just wanna go back, back to 199...
It's a shame they aren't using the old school NBL logo on it.
Here is an original from my collection:
That's how we do.

I used the world 'collection' above but I don't collect jerseys per se, it's just been hanging in a closet from when I bought it at the PEC back in 1995.
A retro but not retrospective purchase.

Way off topic but Grace said his all time starting 5 was by position: 1 - Grace 2- Cotton 3 - Vlahov , 4 - Crawford and 5 - Rogers.
The guard spots are on point , For me Vlahov over Fisher I am not sure - I think Fisher brought better scoring and rebounding on a given night.
Rogers was a one horse race for the 5 man spot - winning NBL MVP as a centre. Over the years the center has been a weak spot for the cats, short of Plumlee who came in at the end of one season but was never retained.
Crawford is again most likely undisputed at the 4 position - Nik Kay didnt hang around long enough to maybe make that choice more interesting.
The moral of the cats old guard is they committed to the team for many years to build that legacy. I think Melbourne is probably closer to the cats of old in terms of building a core of long term players. Success follows that model.

I was assuming he had Fish as a 4, and gave JC the nod over him at that spot.
Someone legendary was going to miss out either way so it was a tough ask. Hoff was pretty handy for a very long time. I wish the Cats had someone with his physicality we could call on this season.

Who wins this, no Pinder, who stops Cotton, nobody, cat by three in a very high scoring game.

30-29 cats and no one is stopping Cotton. Doolittle injured. Froling 1 from 6 hasn't helped. Not much D by either side.

Almansa is fantastic at both ends, high iq player as well.

Almansa and Cotton for cats, Olbrich and Days for hawks. As Kell said at halftime whoever can get a stop will win this. Early days but JJs v United could be a GF replay as they both play D.

Cracking game, even if the D is not at united level. LoBuluk been fantastic.

Decent effort down 2 starters, but when a Cats game gets close down the stretch and the D really starts cranking up you can usually bank on us failing to get stops.

Loss of Doolittle hurt cats big time, Tatum had all his hard nuts on at the end with Kell, Peatling, Hickey, Olbrich and LoBuluk. I'm not certain why Almansa wasn’t on. Cotton scored 40 and did all he could but LoBuluk wore him down in the end.

Have anyone scored more than BC in 2 games.. not enough greatness given to him as Aust sporting icon. 99. Sheer genius.

Also cats got find a replacement for Wagstaff, certainly if Cotton stays so they can work together. A rebounder to.

Really enjoyable game. Hawks did well to take advantage of no Pinder or Doolittle. Perth shouldn't lose too much sleep over that one
