Kings @ United 2.30 aedt 1/12/24

Should be a cracker, imo I just think Melbourne better in the 4-5 positions and should get this. Kings daylight in first is long gone, side is unbalanced and other than a few not great defensively. Can Goulding keep his hit rate up if so kings are history.

Vickerman v Goorj will be interesting as well, new master v old. Will Goorj veins pop or Vickerman face explode. Both great coaches.

God help the refs - I hope they have their ear muffs on!

Maybe we'll FINALLY see the refs take a stand on what’s acceptable from coaches and what’s not - it gives the game a bad image, and makes it look more about the coaches than the players.

Massive game for Sydney, if they win this they are only one game behind Melbourne. Lose it, they are right back in the chasing pack.

Kings by one at quarter, cracking game, White on top Cooks at this stage, Robertson chucked in one on the buzzer from three quarter court. I'm hoping for kings due to Illi not getting suspended.

United are so well drilled, Goulding is so good that he could play nba. Kings just rubbish that quarter, no true blue collar guys, just pretenders. Some of their players so overpaid. Kuol got 3.4 minutes but he does nothing. Toohey and Oliver been ok, the rest got there head up the proverbial.

Loe starting rubbish again, Toohey bringing kings back into the game on his own.

Oh, what a surprise - Rob Loe involved in something physical AGAIN. Ili must be rostered to be next.

Rob Loe's too old now to be carrying on like a young hothead. He needs to keep that in check Leaupepe could squash him into a cube of meat.

Great fight back kings, hopefully they go on with it. Loe and Illi get away with niggle all the time.

And Goulding sucks the refs in again. I agree with Goorjian - a United player dives and chucks it up and automatically goes to the line

Seen some very poor reffing this weekend, often by the ref further from the ball.

I find it hard to appreciate a game when it doesn't feel like a fair contest which allows the team with the most skill or best coaching to win.

Regardless of how long he'd sat, I'd be putting Kuol on in that final play, along with Noi.

Yes strange 5 out there at end, Toohey, Oliver, Noi very good for kings, Goulding a stand out for united, just a very balanced team. Adams brain explosion probably cost kings any chance of winning. Both sides will be happy with how they went. Kings now got find some consistency though they still got to many hot or cold players.

Brian does it again. No-one knows what he's doing with his subs and rotations. What is Le'Afa doing on court to get those important minutes down the stretch?
Commentary were talking about bad body language on Kings bench, must be frustrating just not knowing what's going on.
And that Adams violation was bizarre, but why didn't Brian tell him to hurry up instead of having a casual conversation? It just doesn't make sense he wanted to call a timeout, maybe if he was new and it was first game or two. Even then, most players cross half court before they call one if on court TOs are allowed.
Only thing I agreed with Brian were the refs calling fouls on every drive. Maybe Cotton and Goulding will get those calls, but Ili was going to the line nearly every possession was strange.

Nice comeback Sydney, Adams brain fade costly. And Bruce's poor shot attempt.

Kuol might've helped and a couple of late errors but could've gone either way.

And shock error, we didn't see Koppens on court after White's return from injury.

And Leupepe didn't punch someone in the jaw after being bumped by Loe.

I guess that's why we didn't see another melee.

Don't forget, Harrell's actions were all United's fault!

LV .....the team you support is deep and talented: the favourite for the championship.

Your level of defensiveness continues.

To put it simply move on enjoy your team, there was opportunity for reflection, maturity and growth it is obvious that will not occur.

MU are stacked enjoy the season ahead there will be a lot of great basketball.
