Absolutely, looking forward to see what scoring punch Macdonald will have this year, last year was steady improvement, he's still young and he has the potential fill some of McVeigh's loss with a lot more minutes.
The consistency of Doyle and Crawford seems like it'll keep rolling on, Crawford really just had that one prolonged period of not clicking in the system fully last year and has been strong ever since, seemed like he needed to have that time of proving the doubters wrong and testing the faith of the fans.
Doyle's poorest patch came in the immediate aftermath of the death of his father, and has been far better since that time. I think those periods of inconsistency get weighted a bit heavily when we evaluate just how rock solid these guys have been overall. They fully embody the next man up mentality now.
Sword looks to have great explosiveness and physicality, probably just needs more time to get in rhythm with the JJ's system. Seems like he could have been given a bit more trust and leeway from Roth in terms of court time but who knows how things are operating internally. We know Roth doesn't stand for mediocrity in any form.
Deng, as in last year, has the potential to be an underrated gem. Had the best +/- in this game, seems like part of it is he's not a ball hog and plays don't usually get run for him so his impact might not be felt as much, but he's always solid.
This was a tough beat, just that wet patch Doyle slipped on not being there in the dying minutes could have been enough. Competition for the 6 is going to be a dogfight, the future feels bright for NBL
