Hawks vs Shanghai Sharks preseason game: 17/8/24

First preseason game of the year tomorrow evening with Illawarra hosting the Shanghai Sharks at the sandpit. Not expecting a hugely competive game, Hawks won a scrimmage match by 53 points against them yesterday! Game should be available to watch on the NBL website or app with a free NBL+ account.

based on the highlight reel the NBL put up of the scrimmage, basically the whole team. Suspect similar tonight

I guess the Sharks are minus imports, which would explain much of the scoreline.

yeah, hopefully the actual game tonight is a bit more competitive than the scrimmage result, honestly might not be though

Kuany Kuany but it's not the right kuany linked in the photo it is this https://www.espn.com.au/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4432021/kuany-kuany ( he is 25 so to old for DP ) I suspect maybe a nominated replacement
(Barry Ballinger is 17/18

Also a quick correction, I said in the first post of this thread this game was at the Sandpit (WEC), it's actually at the Snakepit, the Hawks old stadium.

Yeah interesting to see those guys on the boxscore. Possible yet to be announced signings but maybe not. JJs used Joe Chilcott in a few pre-season games last year and he never ended up on the roster.

Yeah, we'll see. Big question for the Hawks remains the 3rd import
