Results in younger grades for South ensure a few years of strong results - will be a force for quite a few years to come. West doing well too - after state champs results they have bounced back very strong. Old school power bases back in South Aust - West and South.

A new stadium may not be a priority for some clubs - look how well West have gone and they have the oldest stadium - kudos to the clubs that have gone and got one - it's helped the competition and clubs greatly.

Every club peaks and troughs - Sturt are where South were 10-20 years ago.

South look set for a decade with their current crop.

Can't recall a season where 0 Sturt Div 1 or 2 teams didn't make a GF during the main season.

West 10 = 5 + 5
Forestville 9 = 4 + 5
Sturt 7 = 0 + 7
North 5 = 0 + 5
Norwood 4 = 3 + 1
United Districts 2 = n/a + 2
Woodville 2 = 0 + 2
Centrals 1 = 1 + 0
Southern 1 = 0 + 1
Eastern 1 = 0 + 1
Western 1 = n/a + 1
Sa Church 1 = n/a + 1

Same for north and Sturt. Both lost talent in 1/2 or is it just weaker top age group this year and next year they'll both win a couple again.

The top 3 in the results, good development, good recruiting or a bit of both?

Will notice a few clubs choosing not to field all the way down to div whatever anymore as well, which should lead to a stronger competition overall.
