Breakers have signed Sean Bairstow

Jarrad & Cam Bairstows little brother Sean has signed a 2 year deal with NZ (Second Year is a Team Option).
A 6.8" Forward out of VCU who averaged 10 ppg, 4.7 RPG and 3.7 APG in 23/24.

Could be a nice pickup, Breakers fans will be really hoping they nail the last 2 import signings

Maybe the Anticevich signing fell through?

This family is going to rival the Gaze family for NBL/WNBL representation! Congrats Sean. Cut your teeth there and bring yourself home to the Bullets.

I don't know about the Gaze's but the Froling family have had four siblings play NBL/WNBL plus both parents played in the NBL/WNBL too.

Grant Anticevich is listed as signed for 1year on Spatialjam although they still have Delaney listed as contracted despite being released.

Potential depth chart:

PG: Jackson-Cartwright* / McCarron / McNaught (DP)
SG: Import* / King
SF: Import* / S.Bairstow / Davison (DP)
PF: Bolden / Anticevich / Darling (DP)
C: Mennenga / Pineau

Import*

There have been rumors of Donte Grantham signing as an Import for 24/25 but I haven't seen anything credible yet.

I don't mind that roster. Especially with local bigs, it sets up nicely for a couple of imports in key scoring positions. But they are going to need high output otherwise it's unclear where the scoring will come from and defence will be able to suffocate PJC.

Donte grantham seems unlikely. 6-8 power forward doesn't seem like the requirement.

The Sean Bairstow signing has been announced by the Breakers on social media as well.
What's left, 1x local spot, 2x imports and a next star?

Risetto or TeRangi for some kiwi contingency?

With the rumored signing of import big Freddie Gillespie NZ now only have the one import spot to fill, a next star and a local.

NZ currently have Bairstow & King at SG/SF so I assume the final import will be a Combo Guard or Swingman and the Next Star will also add depth to those positions.

I'm liking the look of the roster so far.

Karim Lopez next star? Matt Mooney import SG?

Mooney looks like he'd be a good signing if we needed a point or combo guard. But we don't

Mooney looks good, nice shot on him.

I think Mooney is a done deal waiting for league clearance.
