It must be very disheartening for someone to be invited but not actually selected in the first round.

From memory, there was another Next Star that happened to, someone expected to go early in the draft, so that by the time he was selected he looked like he didn't really care. Can’t remember who (& cbf looking it up).

Anyway, I hope Furphy and all the other Next Stars get selected in the second round.
