Can foreigners play in Australia?

Hi guys, I'm coming to Australia next month with a work and holiday visa, I was curios to know if would be possible playing in a basketball team or there are some kind of rules that prevent me for playing because I’m not from Australia.
I used to play a decent level in italy, I was not in professional basket but still good level.
Thanks in advance

You'll be classed as an import, so yes you can play but will have to be one of the teams "restricted players"

Depends what level - at a social level, not a problem, just find an assocation and join up

Pro/semi pro, would be restricted like MB says
