Sixers by 10 at the half. DJV showing out, Bannan over rated by commentary team.

Game getting ugly, both sides battling for a win.

Humphries misses an open dunk, Kell dumb foul and the misses lay up. Sixers beating themselves.

You know your club is in the toilet when you lose to Adelaide.

Bullets suck and need the playing roster torched.

Ballsy shot by DJV there after the Sixers looked to be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

important win - big home crowd, holiday weekend - plenty of juniors supporting - closed out a close finish - TV game - great confidence injection

Sixers clearly best team, Kell big down stretch, just ok overall, Humphries good, DJV very good, Wiley excellent, bones of a very good team.

Brisbane very ordinary, Sobey good offensively, rest all average, Zikarsky only player in plus. Bannen, Lowary talked up but worse than average. Won't play finals.

Great crowd and excitement in the stadium. Happy for Sixers fans.

Both sides need to cut deep in of season, not all but pick the best, get rid the rest, clean outs.

Bones of a good team but management really stuffed up the import situation with Franklin early, followed by bad team lineups and rotations. Wiley was excellent tonight. Humphries good but gets gassed easily and needs to finish better. That missed dunk at the end nearly proving costly. DJV very good, needs to find the balance in taking his shot and being selfish, getting shots to others.
Thought Starling was okay, finishing lets him down at this level. Reads the play well and does a lot of little team things off the ball, helping out and giving space to others.
Sixers should've been up by more during first half, refs only blowing the whistle at one end of the court, only 3 fouls called on Brisbane just before half time.
Good crowd, unbelievable half court shot during a break by a spectator with one of worst shooting techniques of all time.

Assuming the right price, I feel like Wiley brings the kind of effort we should value next year.

If they haven't pissed off Humphries would like to see him and DJV back too.

Teams don’t usually win by being effectively an entirely new roster, that’s the hard part of being so bad and alienating players. You need to resist the urge to totally recreate a roster and you need to prevent good people from leaving.

Don't get many imports like Wiley willing to dive onto the ground, putting body on the line. Last season Franks wasn't willing to risk anything for a loose ball. Wiley had more hard ball gets today than Franks got in the entire season. The other great thing Wiley does is he celebrates his teammates when they do something good.

Really love all those things about Wiley and for a team looking to reinvent its culture I think he'd be a great guy to keep for next year (assuming he wants to stay and doesn't get a better offer elsewhere).

As I've said previously Wiley has been absolutely brilliant given the challenges the Sixers have faced on and off the court. He has been the Sixer's best player this season. He could have easily become disheartened but he's done the opposite.

Always energetic, always positive and you would hope his energy becomes contagious amongst his teammates. If I was in charge you bring back Wiley, DJV and Humphries. I still think Marshall has plenty of upside so bring him back too along with Cadee for the right price with his veteran leadership and build around this core.

It's interesting the more games Ninnis coaches, the more his rotation starts to look like CJ’s

" Baynes only 13 minutes, not looking good for the big fella".

It's an interesting scenario, in retrospect returning big name ex NBA aussies have been overall quite underwhelming. Baynes on a big marque contract has struggled, Broekhoff unfortunately injured and struggled, Delly solid but United would be happy he returned to the NBA to modify his big contract I assume. The cultural aspect can’t be overlooked however it must be a warning to clubs recruiting big names moving forward.

Yeah it's been a rough watch for people who anticipated Baynes would beast it in the NBL.

Want him to stick around for another season though, only to provide NBA guidance for Rocco.
