Townsville scary good tonight , didn't miss a beat without Kunek, Again they exploited the slowness of the Southside team . Reid blowing by Mitchell and Jackson is a thing of beauty.
Not sure how or why Southside continue to start Jackson in front of Dickey.

Time to let the Goat thing go its just not there anymore.

It's laughable how much better of a coach Seebohm is compared to Chambers.

Seebohm is a great WNBL coach, but struggles at the national level - as evidenced by him filling in as coach for Sandy while she had WNBA commitments earlier this year. Really like him, but I think Gorriss with WNBA experience would be a great next coach of Opals. Also, replace Veal?

I was more so speaking to Chambers' ability with my comment, but Seebhom should be the next Opals head coach.

Implementing someone else's program as a caretaker coach is completely different to running your own.

His achievements at WNBL and international juniors level speaks for itself. Even putting all that aside, I doubt his teams would fail the eye test for most critics.

As I mentioned PlayMaker, Seebohm unfortauntely wasn't able to get it done.

Gorriss would be the next best candidate, if he put his name forward for selection, when Sandy decided to finish.

I like Seebohm at the WNBL level, just the next step up is a challenge.

Ridiculous to write off Seebohm (or anyone for that matter) based on a such a tiny sample size.

Goriss is never getting the national coaching job after the shit show last season with Cosier. That ship has sailed.

2019 Asia Cup: 4-2 record, 3rd place finish (Brondello)

2021 Asia Cup: 4-2 record, 3rd place finish (Goriss)

2023 Asia Cup: 4-2 record, 3rd place finish (Seebohm)

Good call, JD.

I don't understand how Froling (and both Melbourne teams in general) don't get called for more talking back to the ref's.

Seebohm will takeover from Sandy after the Olympics for sure if the results don't come.
Chambers will be dropped and Veal to enter as assistant.
Goriss somehow remains as assistant even after the dodgy shite.

Gusty effort from Jade Melbourne to will the caps to win, tooth knocked out and all. Was a shame the hit ruled Canada out or the rest of the game as that matchup was fun to watch.

What has Veal done to warrant a look in for the Opals assistant?

She's won 3 games in two years.

Speaking of Vealy, shout out to her, Jade & the Caps for the big win.

Tough season for them so far but they haven't dropped their heads, and I'm stoked for them that they were able to absorb the Boomers fightback and push back to get the W. That's got to be a great morale booster.

Lynx defence held the Flames to 58 on Wednesday night.
Fire just did even better. 48.
Never game them a sniff.
54-28 on the boards.

Adelaide Lightning continue on their losing way! They're headed for the wooden spoon as Canberra will get some momentum from their recent win. Lightning play very individual basketball & rely on that, rather than team oriented basketball where the ball moves from side to side.

Does Maddi Rocci ever stop whinging & complaining to the umpires! She's the equivalent of Dillon Brooks in the WNBL a villain that’s easy to dislike!

The umpiring in today's Flyers Vs Spirit game was so atrociously bad I’d be surprised if any of those 3 umpires get a game next weekend upon review by the WNBL. They were all consistently inconsistent with their calls today & blew the pea out of the whistle the entire game & actually ruined a fairly decent contest with their ego driven need to be a bigger part of the game than the players!

I didn't see the game, but having more fouls whistled than minutes played is not ideal

Nope, the atrocious refereeing doesn't nullify what was said about Rocci. I can't think of a bigger whinger to have played in the league apart from Cambage. Both the Frolings give Rocci a run for her money too, can't stand any of them - Rocci especially.

I haven't noticed her whinging as much this season. Pretty sure she’s not an Opals level PG tho regardless

There was no and-1,the commentators just assumed there was because they heard a whistle.
