Q anon, no I'm serious. I've seen them actually execute plays to get Humphries the ball, run some decent screen action at times to get DJ a good look and adjust their defence to successfully quiet Cotton down for a bit (didn't last when we went back to the starters, but hey, it was an effective in-game adjustment that got us back in it for awhile).
Likewise, I've seen them recognise McCarron and Dech's ball-handling deficiencies and try to run the offence through Wiley, Kell and DJ at times. They still revert to letting McCarron and Dech handle the ball too much for my liking, but its less than it was.
I've also seen that they are trying to instill some accountability through the team. Its not always perfect, but more often than not when a player keeps blowing defensive assignments, they take a seat and sometimes they play less in subsequent games.
Marshall was given opportunities in the first few games, but he honestly played poorly and CJ rightly benched him. Starling also got benched for awhile for leaving his man wide open too many times. Even Dech and McCarron have played less in a couple of games where others were outperforming them. I would play them even a bit less and NEVER let them share the floor together if it was me, but I don't have to manage team morale!
Believe me, I'm not anointing anyone the next Gleeson, but from the limited perspective of someone watching from the stands, I believe I am seeing better coaching decisions this season than I saw in the previous two. We are coming off a very low base though!
