Nz @ MU, Oct 23

Can the breakers cause an upset?

United to get this, breakers should be half asleep due all travelling. JPC v Illi should be a great contest. United by two. Good early look at two top four teams.

My eye test believes MU are serious team and should win, however NZ need a home win (or more the point ), the powers to be need MU to lose and keep the ladder (supposedly) " most even its ever been". So to continue my run of getting it wrong MU by 5

Early home cooking, very physical game so far.

NZ offence very disjointed, 10 point lead to United at 1/4

Pineau plus 13 in 8.30 minutes, very unfashionable but did exactly what nz needed, helped them take the lead.
Cracking game for the purists, solid D, good structure at both ends plus speed down hill when it's there. Williams very good behind the mike, talking about the game, more of him when available.

Both coaches going down the screaming route. Lol. Two of the very best teams this season, united by 1 at 3/4 time

This will be PJC'S team this season, not WMW

Home cooking, United probably got this but haven't been the best team. PJC fouled out

NZ is getting cheated on by the Refs. Once again, United getting the helping hand of the refs.

Clarke and Goulding are just so good from outside, the five spot going to be nz problem. The last foul on PJC was a horrible call, changed the game. Cracking game, bring on the next one.

Lets look at the box score

United 10-19 from 3

Breakers 6-16

I wonder who won.

Thats all that matters.

Absolutely nothing else

Thats all basketball is.....make your 3s win the game.

End of story

The way those 2 coaches scream at the ref's is shocking. Time for the league to set a standard and clean it up.

If coaches can't scream at refs then Rillie won't know what to do.

Quality game, both team well organised and play deep. Breakers looked great considering the travel. The Hukporti/JLA combo caused some issues inside. The addition of Clark and his consistent outside shot and play making has really helped Goulding - was well held in the first half but didn't push it as he would have previously.

Agreed that Williams is a great addition to the commentary team, provides astute, interesting insights.

Breakers will still be WMW’s team in my opinion, he’s just not at full strength yet. PJC is however an amazing player, great back court! Cheetham also looks a player! Thought the loss of Brown and Brantley would have a big impact but these two look like upgrades.

"The last foul on PJC was a horrible call, changed the game."

The funny thing is he moved forward, it was a correct call, but the odds of Mayberry not calling that a charge are miniscule, he's one of the all-time charge-first refs. Breakers were stiff.

Only in NBL can you place your head on an opponents head and it is fine. Another great call by Mayberry

Brilliant call on Mayberry.
