Is this for real?

https://www.3aw.com.au/junior-basketball-league-introduces-ridiculous-50-fine/?fbclid=IwAR2BlJDgbxp4VJrfzWpnbnVgWGrI8QU5K__3cxPre7_aBxSwIfv26ptB6pw

Surely not?! Does anybody know any more about this, and what right they have to insist on it?

In respect to sponsorship ? not an unreasonable request to use sponsors brand but a 50 fine seems a bit much. Club / Association will need to supply a correct game day warm up ball. 1 fine will buy you a new indoor ball.

You'd need at least 2 - 3 balls per team per court, surely?

If anyone had actually done their homework on this, a look on the comp's Facebook page would tell you this matter was resolved a week ago.

Message on the EDJBA Facebook page clears this up.. They do still require only their balls during practice during finals tho!
