Medals - 1st France, 2nd Serbia, 3rd USA (i haven't looked at cross overs so this is just some random predicting, but I could see someone knocking off USA along the way and I feel France and Serbia could grind out wins)
MVP - Luka (I honestly think he could lead Points and assists and be on the leaderboard for rebounds. If they could make it through the quarters he will win it)
Top scorer - Luka
Dark Horse - Serbia
Overrated - Australia i guess. Seem them likely knocked out in quarters, which isn't bad but not a medal. All about ramping up for olympics net year

My guess is we end up with a shitty draw outside the group stages and finish 4th.

USA will be good enough, but it will be close - my guess is USA and then Canada, France in some order.

MVP - Edwards.
Top scorer - Clarkson is a good bet.
Dark Horse - Serbia
Overrated - Australia (hate to say it and will happily eat shit if I'm wrong)

Everyone talks about Canada. They have the depth of talent, they have IMO the most talented/dominant player in the tournament, but they don't have a system or familiarity with each other. They seem to me more like a team that will destroy another powerhouse team's fortunes, rather than having the kind of consistency to medal.

Yeah I have long been of the 'believe it when I see it' view about Canada. Success internationally is usually built over a period of time, and they haven't done the groundwork yet. Maybe their talent will overcome some of that, but their inexperience in big FIBA moments will make it hard later on.

Canada just whooped France by 30!

I dare say that's this current core France groups biggest defeat.

They kinda similar to Boomers, lots of small ball, Barrett and Brooks spending plenty time in the 4 spot with only one big. Canada has a lot more offence, Aus better defensively.

I’m picking Canada for gold and SGA MVP!
