Warrandyte VJBL

What happened to the Warrandyte junior rep teams? They do not have a single team above met 4 and seem to have fallen far from the days where they had VC teams. The u16 1 boys are competing in met 6, thats low for a 1's team, same thing for the u18 1 boys!

Unfortunately the whole club has been in steady demise over the past few years, there is zero talent and kids who can somewhat play will always go to clubs like DV, Eltham, Nunawading, Kilsyth, Bulleen who are in the vicinity.

Blackburn heading in that direction quickly too; 2 teams in U12 boys is always a terrible sign.

Re above, sorry, not 2 teams in U12 boys, but 3. You get the idea, though.

They have 2 teams in U12 girls.

The problem Warrandyte has is one that a lot of the small clubs are dealing with... Poor quality of coaching.

The standard of coaching across the sport in Victoria has really gone down south. Reasons behind that is a whole another thread in itself.

But the lower quality coaching effect is only magnified at the smaller clubs - as anyone with any decent standard just leaves to the bigger clubs where there is at least some coaching there.
Warrandyte's demise started when Justin Nelson left - he was Warrandyte.
