I've always liked the idea that BV should have a formula in place to celebrate the best program in Vic each year. Starting from Seniors, all the way down to the bottom Junior Rep team, points awarded for where each team finishes in their respective divisions, so that you can get a clear "Club/Association/Program of the Year".
Would also give people a good indication of where clubs are at.

I think McKinnon won the award for best junior VJBL programme.

Assuming that's just a voted/chosen award though Manders ?

I was meaning more along the lines of a set matrix of points based on achievements to determine the best program. (ie - Number of Teams, which divisions they're in (the higher the division, the more points), championships won etc)

Yeah, understand. Don't know what the criteria was or who chooses / makes submissions. But a league table would be interesting, probably would just go to one of the big clubs.

Probably would, but it would be good to know which one. Might show some of the smaller clubs punching above their weight too, and also may show the opposite for "bigger" clubs that aren't actually performing as well as perceived.

Could also use that data to show a history, and which clubs are on the rise and vice versa.

Would need to take into account the size of the club somehow, in order to distinguish between small clubs doing well versus very large clubs not doing well but having their stats padded by having so many teams. Would need some averaging mechanism.

Absolutely agreed hoopie. I'm sure there would be clubs out there with good numbers who may not be doing as well, and conversely small clubs who don't have as many teams, but place quite well respectively.

I'm sure once a formula is established however, each year it would just be a matter of inputting the results (placings) and we have a winner. Juniors, Seniors and overall perhaps.
