Flames vs Tigers
Flames would be looking forward to McBride suiting up, but should be too good against a young tigers outfit. Norwood by13
Eagles vs Sabres
Sturt lost a tight one against North, their bigs need a mammoth effort against the big Eagles, Forestville to continue the win streak, but never count out Sturt if they get hot from the perimeter. Eagles by 13
Lions vs Panthers
Starling and DJ should feast on the Lions, expecting Starling to have a 20/20 game. McVeigh had a big scoring game, could he continue that form. South by 22.
Warriors vs Mavericks
Warrior's havnt skipped a beat, Mavs have actually been decent so far this season but Woodville should have too much depth, Warrior's by 17.
Rockets vs Bearcats
North are playing well whilst West are trying to work things out. May have missed it but haven't seen any official Olbrich signing. Without him they're a donut team. Could go either way depending who plays, flipping a coin and West by 2.
Power Rankings
1/2 Forestville/South
Have shown so far to be the ones to beat, can't really separate them for now. Forestville recruiting in the backcourt to help Doyle makes them more rounded. DJ can score 30 in his sleep in this league, but as seen in previous seasons and with Sixers, does he have the heart to battle adversity. Starling on the other hand will always battle, and those 2 can compete with Forestvilles bigs. As mentioned, will McVeigh be their wildcard and/or Hoppo continue to grow as a player to get enough points on the board.
3. Woodville
Knocked off West in a tight opener, and did what needed to be done against Centrals and Southern. Will see how they go facing tougher competition.
4. North
Have got to put them above Sturt based on last week. Getting a good contribution from across the board with no real standouts.
5. Tough loss against North, otherwise could flip them here. If Dowdell can compete against other teams bigs and nullify them, Sturt could rise higher. But there's a reason he's on his 3rd team in as many years. Still, their guards are good and always a chance to get hot.
6. West
Hardly impressive despite the money rumoured to be spent. If Olbrich comes in they could climb the rankings. Big problem will be nbl preseason. Will Drmics new team allow him to play out season, Deano will probably fly him in for finals. Same for Olbrich. And what if Adelaide is playing a preseason game interstate, out goes MM. Big gamble by West IMO.
7. Norwood
Another team that should rise in standings with an inclusion, but just shows their depth isn't quite there. Need to beat Centrals this week to keep treading water. Congratulations to Daniel Webber for his 300th this week, amazing achievement.
8. Centrals
Only putting them here because of the last 2. Wouldn't be a huge upset if Eastern beat them down the track. Rupert's blind faith with his son could be their Achilles heel. But if a team above them is having a tough night, they might sneak an upset here or there.
9. Eastern
Finally, the Mavs are off the bottom rung. Depend way too much on their imports, hopefully some stability will start paying off. But they did only beat Southern by a few points so Mavs shouldn't get too excited.
10. Southern
Tough start for a rookie coach, and a lot of new faces. No real leadership out there for this young group. "Riding the Pine" Green should be that veteran but has continued his Norwood days not being able to play a full game. Brought in Jimma and Johnson late, talented but always had others above them in teams totem pole. A rebuilding year, their budget probably a tenth of their glory days. Will battle it out with Centrals and Eastern for wooden spoon.
