I cant speak for last night coz i didnt see him but he has won us a couple of games off of steals etc.

maybe its his discipline that is the question and not his D coz he can play great D at times

His ability to play D is amazing, he's attitude to play it is somewhat questionable. last nights game, he only started to D up on caporn when he was getting touched up a bit. The 3rd quarer was great by him but he doesnt use his talents to effectivly.... as in his ability to change speed at an amazing rate.

the 6ers looked crap last night.

His steals late have been timely, but his early D put the team in that position (down late in the game).

Brisbane game was a great example. Didn't show Black any respect, ball watching and allowing him to get to spots, going below screens.

I think it is a problem. Would be interesting to see how much of the other team's scoring has come from Farley's man this year.

Willie tends to through up a smoke screen of pretending to play D. He gets low in his chair and waives his arms around but 9 out of 10 times he doesn't contain his player. He only tends to do this as well when he fires up offensively. So in Wednesday's game when he wasn't scoring much his man got off. Saying that though I don't think there was anybody in the league that could've stopped Cortez in that first half!

against the hawks the other night i think farley was trying 2 play D but cortez just carved him up and there was nothing he could do about it.

I think Farley's D overall has been fantastic this year, but he I agree he fell into old habits in the Hawks game and didn't seem too interested in D for much of the Pigs game either.

Panther and thedoctor, I'm with you. Farley does a tremendous job of appearing busy on defence but cannot contain anyone. There's a lot of flashy style but oh so little substance - if a Brad Hill or younger player played D like him, they'd be read the riot act.

Yeah, sure, for two minutes a game he cranks it up and harasses a ball-handler up the floor - but he gets a sore neck guarding people in the 1/4 court, snapping his head in the direction he's just been burnt.
