Taipans v Jackies 20/01

Looking to make 7 straight and just about lock in that 2nd place.

Hopefully the Cats can take out the Kings later in the evening, which would make life even more interesting...

Pinder back, but guessing will be on minutes restriction.

Interesting: There will be five Taipans on the floor at all times. If Scott plays this right there's an opportunity for an additional three ex-Taipans to be there at the same time - Steindl, Krslovic and Weeks :)

Tassie by double digits, this is a great matchup for them personnel wise and Pinder coming back throws a spanner in the works.

If Cairns win Ill eat my hat Anon. They remind me of the D'Antoni Suns and Rockets teams

Taipans got this, probably only team left of making a decent GF series. Brown while being iso player at times gives nz a point of difference on offence, him out really restricting breakers.

Melbourne playing a real playoff style of basketball at the moment, controlling tempo very well, could see them challenging but they have to make it first.

Phoenix played that style on Weds in Launy, was very impressive, but they've got to make it and keep their key players on the court, which they haven't been able to all year.

Those D'Antoni teams played zero D. Nothing similar to Cairns.

As Gazey said, Kenyon been very good for JJs, it's amazing what a player of starch can do, play D and team and you side is instantly better.
Scrappy game, both sides clearly feeling the pressure. JJs certainly not going away. Cairns not their fluent self.

I thought yesterday might've scared the NBL of trying to rig 2 games in a row. But nope, NBL determined to get Cairns that 2 seed.

JJs deserved winners. Very good second half by both.

100%. He was huge for them last season, tonight looked like the first time he was his old self after coming back from injury.
