Why aren't NBL teams bringing Aussie overseas coaches home?
Should NBL club managers be doing more to try bring home some of our overseas coaches who have not coached in the NBL but have overseas experience and give them a chance?

NBL has always had a strong American/Foreign coaching population within the league and some of our most talented Aussie NBL coaches (Trevor Gleeson)have had significant experience overseas.
Most recently USA/Foreign coaches such as - Will Weaver, Scott Roth, Chase Buford, Mody Maor have shown their ability to evaluate talent and bring in quality imports and coach with with some edge and pop has proven to be a winning formula.
There are obviously the cases where this has not proven successful too (Dan Shamir, James Duncan, Scott Morrison). There are also recent cases that are too early to make an assessment but seem to be trending in the right direction (John Rillie).
There are Aussie NBA coaches who are not attainable for the obvious reasons - Matt Neilsen, Damian Cotter, Trevor Gleeson, Adam Caporn. I would even throw guys like Phil Handy, Chris Jent.
Dont know what the formula for hiring an NBL head coach is, but I always hear the same names brought up time and time again without a sniff of other new guys.
Would be nice to see some of these other guys in the NBL in an effort to potentially strengthen the league and bring new energy and opportunities.
