Illawarra Hawks sign Peyton Siva

The ex-Breaker presumably replaces Justin Robinson who was likely out injured for the rest of the season.

Would've been a good signing for Brisbane.

Well done. Good complement for Harvey.

This is potentially a nice re-do, maybe now we'll get to see the real Siva in action.

He can play and nice to see him back in the league. But he's injury prone now and that was a big reason he never got momentum to be at his best last year. I also don’t think the Hawks have the right bigs to complement his skills.

High IQ pass first PG but as mentioned he struggled with injuries with NZ and as a result we only saw glimpses of his best.
Hopefully he's fit and healthy and the Hawks get the best version of Siva cos they sure do need it.

I agree Mystro. They need to take pressure off Harvey. Simon and Jessup did that the last couple of seasons. Especially Simon who didn't mind ball carrying.

Siva is reliable with the ball and he’s a scoring threat which will open it up for Harvey and others.

He’s a vet too so will bring plenty of leadership.

Simon was a defensive beast, as was Cleveland last year. Siva doesn't have that capability. He’s a mediocre scorer, injury prone and and he’s old. Not what the Hawks need. Not even close. A very disappointing get.

Was great 3/4 season ago, hawks just seem to have gone backwards.

There's also a possibility that because Siva was a FA and hadn't landed a gig elsewhere already that he might've been willing to take a pay cut so the Hawks could have gotten him for a discount.
