Makur signed an exhibit 10 contract. Not a 10 day contract. It gives him a chance to make the NBA side but guarantees that he'll play with their G-League side. Basically they own his rights and can call him up if he performs well.

As i understand it, its not actually Wizards owning his rights. They get him at their own G League team so therefore have some control over how we plays and get to see him close by, but he's still free to be called up by any other NBA club.
