I would love to see Mojave King get a spot. He's playing for Southland Sharks here in NZ and playing at a level that should make him a worthwhile punt, if you compare him to other NBL players in the league this year

Wow, only 6 spots left after imports? Well the following guys should stay on the shelf:

AJ Ogilvy - it over
Nate Jawai - same
JLA isnt coming back although he'd deserve a spot if he did
Tamuri Wigness isnt an NBL level player - play NZNBL and come back if improves
Deng Adel - aint no one got time for that
Fin Delaney is going to Europe by all reports
Manny Malou isnt NBL level
Retirement time (again) Timmy Coenrad

As for the maybes

Feeling a lot like Duop Reath is looking elsewhere
Thon Maker might put his hand up
Brock Motum is seeing less money and more bench lately, could being lured
Jack Salt is a big body and there are teams who could use him (Adelaide should look that way if they cant land a bigger name big)
Mojave King still has potential if he can get his head out of his ass
I expect to see Mangok Mathiang sign with Perth or Melbourne
Isaac Humphries will get an offer surely but not with Adelaide, and likely a lot cheaper
Big question on what Aron Baynes plans are moving forward

I am indifferent to most others

More like 12+ local spots left.

Adelaide - 8 signed, 3 spots left (1 x import)

Perth - 9 signed, 2 spots left (2 x imports)

Cairns - 5 signed, 6 spots left (2 x imports)

Brisbane - 7 signed, 4 spots left (3 x imports)

Sydney - 8 signed, 3 spots left (3 x imports)

Illawarra - 7 signed, 4 spots left (2 x imports)

Melbourne - 7 signed, 4 spots left (3 x imports)

SE Melbourne - 7 signed, 4 spots left (2 x imports)

Tasmania - 9 signed, 2 spots left (2 x imports)

New Zealand - 9 signed, 2 spots left (2 x imports)

Adelaide's roster is excluding Sotto who is under contract but not likely to be back and similar situation with NZ regarding import Hugo Besson. Bullets NS Tom Digbeu is also not expected to be back but NS don't count as rostered players anyway.

Nah no probs yours appears to be closer to accurate than mine it's just always difficult to say x local spots left when some teams each season don't go with 3 imports. Last season Adelaide & SEM only went with two imports each and United only went with one import. I forgot to include Maluach at United in my numbers too.

zhou qi was a marquee so an import spot was taken if that makes sense

I'm pretty sure Zhou Qi was signed as an SRP player like Kai Sotto & Yudai Baba, I don't think he was signed as an import.

no I know he was a srp but srps can be signed as marquee so he signed in a marquee spot cancel out import

Alba Berlin apparently chasing Hukporti which may mean that Melbourne really need to pick up a Mathiang, Maker or Humphries to even compete at this point

7 spots and some decent names left in that list (even excluding guys like Delaney who will most likely not be in the NBL next season).
