WA will go if there are no quarantine requirements and will leave the decision as late as possible, but they would have to have at least a couple of weeks to get flights booked etc. The AFL season will be starting mid March, and we know they are the only ones who seem to have power over the premier

Tournament is also for selection of 05/06 players for this years u16 asia(postponed from last year) and u17 fiba WC later on in year.

As a Victorian, the nsw selectors are clearly the worst at identifying talent.

On all 4 teams, I've seen multiple players that didn’t make it that arevfarvsuperiorbto those selected.

As a South Australian, I fail to see how a Victoria attended tryouts and team selection to make those judgments.

Furthermore, considering you haven't been able to watch matches, or pretty much leave your house for the last 18 months, I'm not sure you've been able to watch any of these NSW players at all.

No chance you are a disgruntled parent who can't accept their own child didn't get picked. Probably, because rather than listening to coaches telling them what they need to improve on, you told them it was not their fault and they were good enough and it was all unfair and wrong.

Nice to see a 50/59 split in terms of gender on the NSW coaching staffs. NSW leading the way as usual. Be lucky to see an 90/10 split in most other states

911 This is a ridiculous comment. Why should a less experienced, less capable coach get appointed to a state team to coach at a national championships purely on their gender. Outrageous that you even suggest it. There are far more male coaches than women and purely on strength of numbers it would suggest that talent is not a 50/50 split at the top end. These appointment should be based on Merit. There is lot of work being done in this area and it's improving but rushing female coaches into some of these positions too early will do more harm than good for the whole process. There are plenty of Men who are dedicated Girls coaches. If girls at this level need to be coached only by females then go and play netball were the gender bias is reversed. What a joke!

I can only assume you're a male coach who coaches in the girls program?

This has been the argument for a very long time 'don’t rush the female coaches in, it does more harm than good’. And here we are, with a continuing shortage of female coaches in every sport.

As for the comment ‘if girls only want to be coached by women they should go to netball’. If you actually had knowledge of netball you’d know there’s plenty of blokes coaching.

Where should ‘boys who only want to be coached by men go’? Oh wait a minute, pretty much any sport they can think of.
