Camberwell Big V men

How the hell did Camberwell fall into Champ Men? They lost their import to Sunbury and their 2 best players are not playing next.

Who have they signed?

Why did Keysborough, Bellarine and Corio Bay not go up?

Something does not make sense..

Really? After all of the previous posts you really had to ask?

Obviously hawthorn related.

Basically same way McKinnon women got promoted years ago. Waverley squad all went over

As per previous posts, Hawthorn gone and guessing players have shifted over to Camberwell, good luck to them for running with it.

As for the other clubs not moving up, after a tough couple of years for everyone, their cash flow may be too low to step up, may not able to bring in an import, in which you would need to be competitive at that level and just cause you can go up doesn't mean you should
Smart by those clubs if that's the case, being responsible for the future of their clubs, re Hawthorn thread.

Not sure you can blame anyone but Hawthorn for their financial issues.

Big V has been incurring a debt of $150-180K per year for years at Hawthorn and the board refused to do anything about it ... nothing to do with COVID.

Domestic Clubs have moved due to a board that thought it was okay to rip families off to pay for other Club programs.

Hawthorn have build a culture of Big V players paying nothing to play, but still get paid to play.

Nothing to do with Camberwell at all!

Mate if you thought Keysie relied a lot on Lampkin, a Barkeley-less Camberwell will be even worse. This was strictly a finance based replacement decision because of the area Hawthorn is in. With no import replacement they will struggle

Not Fixed .. Camberwell have nothing to do with Hawthorn and Big V

The Board at Hawthorn are responsible for the financial issue and they are the ones who approved a Strategic Plan and funnel money in Big V , knowing it lost $150K per year

There are only 3 players in Hawthorns Big V teams that ever played Junior Magic or Hawthorn Comp.

Why is it reasonable for domestic to fund the program .. get real.. total arrogance by the board and prior GM and totally uniformed.

Well done Camberwell really seizing the opportunity to go up when its presented with no hawthorn keiolor casey next year!

Can't see nbl1 expanding any more so will need to win D1 to go up more likely in the future max 2 teams will go up next year to make it 10 you would think

Not a chance I'd tip Camberwell against Keysie without imports... that is comical. Keysie had way more size, athletes, and were about 7-8 deep. They were 17-0. Camberwell had Max and Edward Bourke.

Look it’s fair play to camberwell for seizing the opportunity as others have said. But let’s not act like without changes to the roster they’ve had (sans Barkey or an import) that they will be competitive. State champ will not be a lower standard like these past 2 Covid years ESPECIALLY with only 8 teams.
