It was announced yesterday surprised no one made a thread.
23 year career, 12 championship rings including 3 EuroLeague championships, four-time Olympian two-time NBL champion and played a couple of years in the NBA.
Outstanding career and provided great service to Australian basketball, I'm glad the NBL are keeping him around in an off-court role.
Good bloke on top of all his basketball accolades. Enjoy retirement. :::))))'

Great bloke, will miss Andersen playing.
Can't wait to see what he’ll bring to the NBL office!

Full of admiration for DA. His basketball resume is absolute and complete. More accomplishments than possibly any other Australian basketballer. I am not saying the best. Jackson, Gaze, Bogues, Longley and others can fight that out. DA is now, more-or-less, one of "team-NBL", (Gaze, during a time-out, "OK, we got 4 rebounders/passers and me. You know what to do!").
Do well in your new career in basketball, DA.

Massive respect for what has been an amzing career. May his post-basketball life be just as successful.

Absolute legend. So glad he's finally gotten the respect he deserves. Playing the majority of his career overseas obviously meant that a lot of people didn't know how good and consistent he was at such a high level. But even more than that he's been disrespected since his rookie year at the Hawks where people called him a bust after averaging 8 and 4 as an 18 year old.
This last few years in the NBL seems to have finally helped some people come around which is great.
