NBL x NBA Cuts

I wonder if we might see any of these guys back playing in the NBL this season, I think Adelaide, Illawarra and SEM still have vacant import spots. Not to mention Dante Exum being cut by Houston too.

Cameron Oliver (ex-Taipans) waived by Lakers.

David Stockton (ex-Breakers) waived by Memphis.

BJ Johnson (ex-Bullets) waived by Orlando.

Keifer Sykes (ex-SEM) waived by Indiana.

Scotty Hopson (ex-United/Breakers) waived by OKC.

Brian Bowen (ex-Sydney) waived by Minnesota.

Oliver better than Zimmerman, likely japan imo

The rest probably europe as japan prefer 4-5 men. Not common to bring in guards

There are some great names in your list, Zodiac. Stockton was a bust, though, wasn't he? The others, top shelf as imports. Presumably, there will be more who are cut or is all that over (it's never over, I suppose)?

Best fits?
BJ Johnson to Adelaide, the other big they apparently "need" who can play both ends. Would be a good three-man rotation with IH and DJ in the 4 and 5 spots. And, if Humph does gets injured - what many are saying may/will happen - then BJ can cover that loss.

Oliver to JJs beside Magnay. They do have a stable of forwards but no 2nd big. They do have a 3rd (very-)big in Perry.

Hopson or Sykes may have been a fit for Perth, or anywhere else, really. Both have been great in their respective roles.

Stockton, any NBL1 team, with a very good PG already, would be thrilled with his heritage and experience.

Some big euro clubs struggling with injuries, I can't see Oliver playing in Australia unless it’s a massive offer, more like 2.4 million for three years. Even then it could be less than he can earn there.

Oliver is the quintessential United signing.

- Flashy, puts bums on seats
- ex-Taipan
- Proven NBL performer
- Irritable

The best fit for BJ Johnson is to not be in this league. He was not good.
