There will be new entry in Big V next year under 'Gippsland Basketball'. Will they return to the LaTrobe Energy branding? Or a new brand altogether for a fresh start?
With Colac entering D2M as well will they go to 2 conferences of 7?

This is huge news for Gippsland Basketball. The long list of individual talent that has come out the area is second to none. It is fantastic that local athletes will have a local representative team.
I understand a lot of work has been done in the background to build a strong foundation on which to build, linking the Senior Program with the Junior program and identified high performance athletes. The long term prospect is promising if they set the right foundations now.
More opportunities to play basketball can only be positive. Good luck to them.
Agree! This is exciting for the whole region out there. Great to have them back into Big V
D2 road trip Mildura to Gippsland would be fun said no one ever

Be great news if it happened the Big v/ VBL was always better with more country teams in it. Not sure about two 7 conferences, surely you shift some teams around (Keys/RMIT/Melb Uni) to make it work.
The return of Gippsland Lakers? The team that was responsible for Bruce Bolden becoming an Australian Basketball icon!
