Presumably their 3rd import will be a big man.
If Morrison can coach they'll make it 36 years in a row.

Perfect fit for a Melbourne team, maybe his brother Marshall could get a gig

Very happy with the Law signing.
Cotton/Blanch/Law is a very potent offense, just need the Plumlee type to hold down the C spot and we're looking very good.
Perth have to be favorites now.
Really curious to know how much $ Perth signed him for. You'd have to imagine it’d have to be significantly more than what Brisbane offered to get him away.

Quality signing but the Cats still have some pieces to add before locking them in the top 4
Perth fan.

Exactly Angus. If we don't get the right import centre or we don't get more scoring punch to replace Steindl we could be middle of the pack.

Illawarra should be favourites.
Perth and Sydney have brand new coaches.
Hawks have the GOAT, and a very fine roster.

Looks like it will be another dud season for Brisbane.
I really like what Law offered last season, will be awesome for the Cats. Agreed they do need a good Centre, realistically Majok, who has been out for almost two seasons (or one, either way), won't be enough for the Cats, they'll need a decent starting Centre.

Really good signing for the Cats. Versatile big man who can rebound and create for himself and others
Is he healthy for a full season, if he goes out again like at Brisbane would be concerned.
Very good signing if he stays healthy.
Illawarra, Sydney, Perth, NZ all looking very strong, Melbourne and Adelaide, Phoenix strong as well. Brisbane, Cairns and JJ's not so much though JJ’s are talking finals up.
Guess..

Havent Brisbane already signed an NZNBL import?

Salty responses from Cadee and Sobey on Instagram.
Will be interesting to see how they go. Both stud imports coming off major injuries. Hope they stay healthy.
They just said import 3 and local c
Mathiang it seems
Anyone know where Angus Brandt is currently? Is he looking for a team?

all the Bullets players sooking on instagram is pathetic. Magnay refused to go back there, now Law bails on them, Lamar tried to get away until he realised he's too rubbish for any other team and went crawling back... maybe Brisbane need to look at how they treat players cause thats a pattern forming.
wonder what their sales pitch is... hey come to Brisbane we aren't as bad as Adelaide yet!

"wonder what their sales pitch is... hey come to Brisbane we aren't as bad as Adelaide yet!"
Yeah because they're worse, given they're basically a re-hashed Adelaide team anyway.

If this was an Adelaide situation, most of you would be bashing Adelaide and calling them "cheap" and whatever u say, seems to be double standard tbh...

How come the bullets players are so angry. It's not like someone changing teams during free agency is new

Salty? Looks like some guys giving a former teammate some grief for going elsewhere. Massive overreaction from everyone else on the IG post.

Great signing. I thought it was a United thing to sign imports from other teams?
But in fact it's only a problem for the forum when United do it?

Plenty of teams sign imports from other teams.

Perth's intention was always a local Centre, and an Import scorer 2/3 off the bench. Hence the Justin Simon rumour.
Of course if Cotton naturalises that gives them another import slot up their sleeve.
Question has always been who that local C will be.
If Cotton was close, possible they start the season with Jook, Tommy, and Ferg.
Obviously interesting to see if anything changes under ScoMo.

Could we start a Go Fund Me page to get (Wildcats) Morrison enough money to change his name. I feel like I need to vomit every time I hear that name and think of our f/wit PM.
Plan looks to be
Norton pg
Cotton sg
Import sf
Law pf
Mathiang c
White pg
Antonio sg
Blanchfield sf
Wagstaff pf
Majok c
Travers utility (filling spots at 3-4-2)
Pg dp
Sf Shervill dp
C dp
Law stayed in Brisbane did all his rehab etc at Brisbane on Brisbane's tab, it’s the way it is now days but people of my vintage like loyalty. Good player and I look forward to him playing but I won’t shed a tear if he struggles with injuries again.

Knew it, feel bad for Brisbane this keeps happening to them since they don't have a budget like the Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
When will the NBL give the Bullets a bigger budget?
Everyone has the ability to spend the same amount. This is such a silly assertion.

Just had a quick look at the Insta thread. I don't get the point Cadee is trying to make - is he salty at Vic, the Bullets or is there something else going on?
I get people getting salty at law leaving, hell if sobey wants to carry on then fine, but when fucking cadee the glorified back up pg who's career was basically being salvaged by being one of lemanis’ boys pipes up publicly it’s an utter embarrassment. At least when Kevin Durant does it he’s typically 1) funny how he does it at times and 2) is one of the top 3 players in the world. So for cadee to think he’s a big shot when he looks like sid the sloth from ice age, just shows how clueless of reality he is, particularly when lemanis was basically doing everything to make him seem more valuable then what he is (if we remember cadee was fucking invited to join the 2019 boomers squad when there was an out).

I'll be the first to say I’m not the biggest lemanis fan but holy crap, after seeing how the likes of sobey, cadee, wigness and drmic behaved on Instagram, how the fuck do you expect the guy to win when he’s dealing with a bunch of pathetic pre madona children who’ll wine on social media when a player leaves. I know people have bad days but (I know he has a bigger sample size) considering the way people carry on about creek, people need to see these brisbane bitches need to get some sense knocked into them.

Looking at Instagram I think Cadee was just having some fun while others took it over the top
I don't get social media. People act like it means everything. A lot of rubbish and too many adds.
Agreed, Cadee was just having some banter. Bullets have some work to do if they don’t want to get another wooden spoon. Sad how the Bullets were never the same club since their exit in 2008.
In the grand scheme of things the social media thing isn't a big deal. It does say something though about how sad of a bloke cadee is that he feels the need to argue with random fans. The thing that’s is suspicious is that sobey, drmic and wigness all chimed in too. Now they all could be working together just for a laugh, or they’re just a bunch of childish kids trying to stir shit. Law even thanked the bullets I thought pretty well, so either they have an issue with him or the bullets and instead of dealing with it like adults face to face, they proceed to whine on a social media post. At the end of the day I think it's not that big of a deal, but they do look like a bunch of teenagers trying to stir shit. Must be quite the mature locker room it appears.

Maybe this is recency bias as having Mooney gave us a walking double double and league leading rebounder but as we are, will this team be a top rebounding side or a middle of the pack?
Since Bevo days we have had Knight and Redhage, Kay and Mooney and Damo and Greg4Hire, who is a reliable rebounder ? Jook led the league in rebounding for a month for United years back but injuries make him questionable if we willl see his best or if he will be relied upon for enough minutes.
Whoever it is that Perth pick up whether it be a Mathiang, Hodgson, Pledger or even Plumlee better crash the boards...
Giacontigers

Pledger is recovering from his cancer treatment. Mathiang is signed in Europe I think. Hodgson is probably going overseas. Not sure where Angus Brandt is playing?
Mathiang was released because he wasn't fit in time.
Nbl being in november, so got another 2 months

Who they recruit at the center position is crucial for rebounding and defense. A quality aussie center would be ideal because they need another import 2/3 i believe for extra perimeter scoring options. Blanchfield is inconsistent and im a big fan of Shervill but hes still young. From memory Plumlee didn't seem to be a great rebounder for his size. I would have liked Magnay to stay on as we didn't have the best of him here last season. His ability to change shots with his interior presence was noticeable against the likes of Landale.
Perth fan.
Years ago
I also wouldn't be surprised if they went with a local centre and an import scorer off the bench .
Question is what local bigs are on the market not named Jervis.
Hodgson actually fits the mold of what Perth need, I don't know much about Mathiang but maybe he is an option too.
Looks about right...
6'1 Norton-6’2 White
6’0 Cotton(I)-6’5 Antonio
Import G/F-6’7 Blanchfield-6’8 Travers(3-4-2-1)
6’7 Law(I)-6’8 Wagstaff
6’10 Mathiang-6’10 Majok
DPs
PG
6’7 Shervill (elevated to full roster 22/23, likely moving on Blanchfield)
C
Mathiang, unlike a lot of other players talked up here is actually a very good player in Europe. He broke a leg so has been out for a while, far better than Reath, earns a big pay check though. He would be a great pick up.

"I also wouldn't be surprised if they went with a local centre and an import scorer off the bench ."
That's always been the plan, the only question is whether it changed with Trev's exit, and the the new GM.
"Question is what local bigs are on the market not named Jervis"
Don't be surprised.
The question, once again, is when will Cotton naturalise?
Giacontigers

Would be good to see Mathiang in the NBL. Hope he recovers soon!
With ScoMo as coach surely Cotton will get that Naturalisation soon.
With scumo as pm he probably doesn't want naturalisation. :::::::))
