Opens up some good connections with the Wildcats & Celtics.

Maybe some draft & stash options.

I bet my Miami mansion and model wife that Albo won't even put out a media release about this.

I remember Voigt. He was once a consultant for a PBA team (Phoenix FuelMasters). He has quite the experience on National Teams from Nigeria to Angola. I am not familiar with the type of offense and defense that he runs. I haven't seen his games in a while, but he can definitely coach.

Okay, how do we lobby the league for this guy to get the Didi Louzada exemption to be a Next Star ;)

Tacko Fall is currently being paid $700,000 USD on a two way contract. Highly doubt the Wildcats would sign him even if he wanted to come here.

I trust Mills has names up his sleeve. Has hinted in the Morrison press conference that an announcement could be made by the end of the week.

Dammit was really hoping Law would resign with Brisbane.

Would have to imagine Perth significantly outbid for Law to poach him away.

First Scott Morrison to coach in the NBL but there was also a player of the same name who played for Melbourne Tigers around 2014.

I know, right? What a franchise, triggering everybody already with the mere mention of the new guy's name. Such a power move.

Unfortunately the Wildcats are back on the hunt for a new coach after Mark McGowan announced he won't let Scott Morrison into Western Australia.

Vic Law possibly signing with Perth. *sigh* Of course Brisbane are being too cheap to get his signature again. I'll just sit here and wait for them to bring back Sheldon Quarles or Thaddeous Delaney instead.

Import / Majok
Law / Wagstaff
Blanchfield / Travers
Cotton / Shervill
Norton / White

The streak doesn't look like ending this season!

Shervill is a DP. There are still 2 bench spots available.
Wildcats have more success with imports than most so I too expect the streak to continue.

It does depend on how you measure an import as a success.

In the 8 year Gleeson reign:

Tier of his own: Cotton
Tier 1 (would have kept if they could): Mooney, Prather, Ennis, Beal, White
Tier 2 (played a role): Daniels, Tokoto, McKay, Hunt, Plumlee,
Tier 3 (miss): Johnson, Ingram, Cooke

14 imports

6 out and out hits

3 outright misses and 3 questionable (Daniels, Tokoto, Hunt)

Mckay and Plumlee did what was asked of them as 3rd imports but wouldn't have made the grade as 1st or 2nd imports

Compare to Cairns over the same time period (I am reaching because my familiarity isn't as high):

Tier 1 (would have kept if they could): Wilbekin, Trice, Trimble, Newbill, Machado, Oliver
Tier 2 (played a role): Wilson, Craig, Carrera
Tier 3 (miss): Edwin, Mitchell, Egwu
Can't remember well enough to include in Tier 2 or 3: McCamey, Starks, Smith, Hall

16 imports used

6 out and out hits

I suspect 5 outright misses; with another 2 questionable?

3 who would get just a pass mark

The difference is really that when a Wildcats import fails they can be replaced with a better import and their role playing imports contributed to team success or at least didn't disrupt the streak.

Will need another Mooney level for sure. The other can be a level 2.
A next star wouldn't hurt either.

Baynes is injured most likely for the whole 2021/22 season. Had a bad injury when in the shower.

Exum will go back to the NBA. If Exum had to join the NBL there's only one club he will join and that would be Phoenix. He is a part owner and have you seen his posts about Phoenix on his Instagram.
