The pumping by the Sturt 16s shows why all clubs should not get a div 1 team. 110 points when it certainly could have been 130-150 point win. Which team got something out of that game??

Centrals beat west under 18 div 2 girls number one team can you believe that go you centrals girls great result. a few embarrassed west girls but they shouldnt be. beaten by a far better team on the night. go u lions.

obviously some of western magics teams need to be moved up a division? not knocking them- but how can u develop by winning or losing by that much- not good for the game.

Western Magic had no choice in which divisions they play in. This is where BASA put them. Hopefully they will be put up to higher divisions in the winter season.

Western Magic do have a choice- its called nomination at the start of the season, hence why mavs hav a div 1 team- they nominated for that division.

If the results are that demeaning to the competition and other teams, im sure BASA can move them up. Yes programs would then need to be changed, but this summer season is too long for that to be happening on a regular basis. Same goes for dropping any teams that are in the too hard basket.

they can only have a stab at what grade they are in - maybe the team they played should be down a grade or 2 ?

I still have not made my mind up if the western magic thing is good for junior ball here or not

As Western Magic are not a Memeber club they will not be allowed to play in div 1 or 2. Except maybe in U/20's and U/10's. That right is only guarenteed for member clubs under the curretn format. I agree that promotion/relegation is their only chance of playing at the level which suits their ability.

look. as a new club. we do not get to put ourselves in a grade which in our minds thought we were good enough for but not too good 4. We then put in our nominations into BASA who chose to put us in these lower division. This to me is the correct decision. but after seeing some of the scores. is there any possiblity of us being moved up b4 the winter season?

Time to leave Magic alone. They made their choice and everyone has to accept that. I hope they get to go up to a grade that gives them some good hard games or their interest may soon be lost. As a Woodville person I was sad to see them go but still wish them well. If things do not work out I and I am sure most of the people would welcome them back. Good luck to them and please leave them alone.
