Illawarra Hawks sign import Antonius Cleveland

Hawks signing Antonio's Cleveland obviously puts to bed Justin Simon returning. They will lose the defence but pick up even more perimeter fire power. Will be fun to watch, and also probably play against!

I feel like there are no real good big centres currently in the NBL with the departure of Mooney and Landale, and likely Oliver. A team needs to capitalise on this and bring in a stud import C, c'mon Perth. Long would even be a nice pickup against the current lot of bigs signed.

Also, don't know much about this guy, but Hawks seem to be improving on last season.

So presumably he's going to play the 3, in the NBL?

Interesting strategy Goorj is going with, and I'm a fan of the "simplicity"

Have you heard of Isaac Humphries?

FT and 3pt percentages were terrible in college. I was hoping for another threat from deep to take more heat off Harvey.

They've added Trice who can hit the three, as can the new bigs in Harry Froling and Duop Reath.

All reports have Antonius Cleveland improving his shooting each year.

Hopefully that's the case. Harvey couldn't find a consistent second wheel on the perimeter this season. Trice should be that. Jessup had a pure stroke but struggled to get enough separation at times to get a shot off. No doubt on paper the team looks to have more balance and depth.

Rate Humphries, but was off the radar due to missing so many games.

He put together some great form and was easilt the best 5 in tge comp. Pity he got injured. I was hoping he'd be at Tokyo 'cause gee we could use him at both ends.
Hope he has a good season.
FWIW I'm a melbourne fab, but I love seeing Australian talent doing well in any team
