Grand Final: Wellington Saints vs. Hawke's Bay Hawks (23/07/2021)

This is a rematch of the 2019 grand final, where the Hawks blew a big lead in the fourth quarter. The Saints would have to be favourites, and are coached by Zico Coronel who was Hawks coach in that last grand final meeting. However, the Hawks have a huge arsenal of firepower at their disposal, especially from the three, and if they happened to get a few of their guns firing early, could prove a real handful for the Saints. There is a reason that Dion Prewster has been picked up by Melbourne United for the upcoming ANBL season, he is a far different player this year and Dean Vickerman must like what he sees. He scored the MVP title for the league with good reason and will be a key component of the Saints at both ends.

Is there anywhere you can watch (preferably for free) within Aus?

Absolutely no way Saints lose this; they're head and shoulders above every team in the league.

Forde coached a few games, then Chance took over after Perth finished.

NZNBL used to air in Australia on NBL TV, it's a shame they scrapped the coverage.

Saints way to reliant on the three ball, Hawks are the only team that has the quality to match up with them else where on the court for long stretches.
Hawks were very competitive both matches this year with them. I am predicting Hawks to take the championship with some of Henrys usual antics the demise of the Saints.
Hawks 97 Saints 85

Hawks won by 20 at home to them and lost in overtime at Wellington's home. Forde coached them games but only filling in for his friend Jacob until he was done with ANBL finals.
Good match up here, one off final makes it anyone’s contest but I expect Hawks to win with the talent

Taane Samuel huge first half, if the Hawks can't stop him they are in strife. Hawks yet to let loose from 3 expecting a big second half from them

Russo-Nance and Riley can seriously hoop for their age. We'll definitely see both in the NBL at some point. Russo-Nance is way ahead of Le’afa and Ili at similar ages.
