Pinder 2021/22
Where do people see Pinder ending up in 2021/22.
I thought he started to show a lot of promise late in the season. Are Sixers likely to resign or?

@200k a season, I don't think anyone is taking.

Is there any truth to the $200k assertions?
Of course I admit to being one of the few here that doesn't have the players' salary spreadsheets that others seem to have.
@ $200k probably too expensive.
@ $100k and 20 mins a game is about right.

I can't see him on 200 but then again we have to take into account the dynamics - his agent and the GM in question.
Perth fan.

Don't see him going to Perth with Wagstaff already signed.
90k max in nbl, 80k is probably fair. Yes agent and GM could come into it.
Really didn't show he has a long career. Will have to step up next season.

If he can be had at a budget price, I'm sure the Bullets will sign him.

I don't understand wtf it is with people speculating about salaries.
You don't know what a club is spending
You don't know what any player is getting in the NBL
You don't know what he's asking for.
So saying he's asking for $200k, but is only worth $100k, is just a load of wank.

I did see him linked back to Perth, but just don't see it if we're going for an import C and PF with Wagstaff and Majok already there for backup. I mean, he couldn't be any worse than Magnay could he, surely not... :/

I don't understand why people think Magnay was bad.

I don't think Magnay was bad given the situation as a late season pick up to fill a void, all I wanted out of him is to block some shots and put other shots off which he did and did well. But, if you're signing him at the start of the season as a main contributor, what he showed wouldn't cut it and you'd want a much higher level of contribution.

Who, if anyone, is going to recruit players whilst we don't have a senior coach?
I realise other teams have executives that do the recruiting, and in the past Marvin had a big say, but have always believed that Trev had a big say in who to go after.
And what role does Pinder play? I didn't see enough of him last season.
Not sure Perth would have a slot for him

"I mean, he couldn't be any worse than Magnay could he, surely not... :/"
Some of us (and yes I include myself) just assumed we were getting prime Magnay, and that once again Perth had pulled a late-season rabbit on their way to another ring. (The injury to Cotton and others put paid to any such dreams.)
Magnay lacked touch, and apparently was carrying injury.
Ultimately, he replaced Bairstow, so yes a big improvement. And that also enabled us to recall Bairstow when Cotton went out.
SO you can't deny that he was still a big positive for us.
Could Pinder be worse?
Worse than an unfit injured Magnay, when we had few other choices?
Maybe not, but as a permanent addition to the team, that's a different matter.
