I'm a bit suspicious about how the Boomers social media platforms have handled the camp. There's been a slow unveiling of players and they're carefully selected who is shown and who isn't. You can tell by the fact that the first photos only show selected players, and then the group photo on showed those players, then you have an unveiling of another player, and another. It seems to me like they're keeping exactly who is there under wraps.

This is solidified by a comment their Facebook made in reply to me:

"due to travel schedules it isnt possible to have everyone arrive at the same time. And looks can be deceiving (two big eye emojis). "

So some people are there who they haven't shown us. Why haven't they shown us and what is this leading to? Why are the photos so carefully curated and so gradual in release?

We might be heading towards a big surprise. Not sure. Recent evidence with Twitter follows may suggest otherwise, but I find this to be interesting.

Could mean doesnt want there to be too much talk around the Boomers or what he is or isn't doing. Or on the other hand, could be a cold, hard denial of probably ever playing for the Boomers.

Given his close relationship with Goorjian I cant imagine that it is the latter. But if it is it sends a very strong message about his intention to ever play for his country.

I don't see how a deal with four and twenty pies can demand he plays at the Olympics, and if it did it certainly wouldn't supersede his deal with the 76ers and their want to shoot a billion freethrows in the off-season.

His lack of confirmation is the elephant in the room right now. If he just passes over the Olympics without publicly addressing it in some way, that is NOT going to go over very well with a lot of people. It may well burn his bridges with the Boomers and Australian public, if of course he cares about such things.

That's Ben's version of "shooting his shot" and "working on his game" in the off-season. I doubt we see any noticeable improvement on the court, though, next season. He has all the physical skills but none of the mental. Him being in London doesn't exactly bode well for his Boomers chances but he could always turn up to the second camp. I am just surprised that no definitive news has leaked either way. It hasn't progressed beyond "doubtful" and no other comment has been made in over a week now.
