With the changes to Victoria's lock down will we see NBL1 back this weekend?
No. For the following reasons
Its Queens Birthday Weekend.
Still a 25km limit
Community sport can return to training, but not competition games.
Unlikely. Metro will still be under huge restrictions.
Regional teams can play. Move Ballarat V Bendigo and Geelong V Albury forward get games happening BV
Can someone suggest the to Basketball Victoria? Doubt they'll come up with that on their own lol
What's the most realistic timeline for metro games fo start up? 1 month?
Teams can't even train yet, "community sport" is outdoors
What is current status on when NBL1 South will recommence?
VJBL will start back in a week or 2 as they are mostly U/18.
NBL1 applying for an exemption. Will be back playing without crowds mid July.
Will be early August before Big V games are back on.
There have been no cases. If the restrictions ease why would an exemption be needed. Should start back this weekend

Official: "Basketball Victoria and NBL1 South have agreed to postpone all scheduled Round 9 #NBL1South games this weekend regardless of any changes in Government restrictions."
Will these delays impact the end of season NBL1 Australian Championship between states? Other states may lose roster players if delayed
2 rounds will be chopped. If players are unavailable so be it. Same for all.
As long as end date is same shouldn't impact anyone
