Cats v Snakes May 21

While the Cats faithful will be in a shark induced feeding frenzy, us at home watching the game will be saying "Stop hitting him, he's already dead!"

It's been an unfortunately season for the Snakes and their record on the road matches my record at Le Rox circa 1984, Vinnies was much better.

There's no real way to sugar coat this like a cinnamon donut. While all non Cats fans would like to see the Orange Men jump up and down like schoolgirls at the end, this should be the Cats night with their bench cleared pretty early on...

Would take a Djeric night like no other to keep it within 20. This could be a massacre after Perfs loss to Brisbane.

With Perth really only a chance of second place and not first, would Gleeson be tempted to rest players, allowing Cairns a sniff. If Perth take this seriously though, it'll be a substantial margin.

Gleeson is already trying to rest players. He dropped Cotton's and Mooney's minutes in the previous Cairns game, and was trying to do the same against Brisbane but with Norton and Travers in foul trouble it didn't happen.

Perth to guarantee top 2 finish with a win. Cairns to guarantee bottom 2 finish with a loss.

I was thinking the same thing! He should not be in the NBL. With a shot like that how has he made 3 free throws for the year??

It's easy to be cruel, watching Jois shoot free throws is true entertainment, his best strength is his ability to jump, he might be better going to high jumps :::)))).

Commentary talking up deng as well, I don’t see it.

There should be a Venky Jois rule.

If Jois is shooting free throws, the coach gets to ask for a side ball instead.

If that option were real how often would the coach exercise that right?

Venky Jois 1-8 FT

That is beyond embarrassing, he's got no business being a professional basketball player.

The coach should have exercised the right to play jawai more minutes in the third after he had dominated in the first half. The game started to get away from them right there

I still remember my bemusement the first time Venky shot a free throw in the NBL with United.

How can he shoot normally but then chuck it when on the free throw line? Does he need it to be a jumper otherwise it becomes a throw? Shooting standing still is easier. Since he's not a giant with huge hands there goes that excuse. Weird.

He had soreness after slipping over in the Brisbane game, and he slightly tweaked it last night. Doesn't sound too serious.

Venky doesn't shoot normally, he only dunks or lay ups. It’s amazing how far a good agent and PR machine will get you. Trist will probably be looking on from nz and asking why he got the boot for this bloke.
