A 17-year-old boy died after being stabbed in a "shocking" incident at a basketball game in Melbourne's west.
A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a junior basketball venue in Melbourne’s western suburbs on Friday night.
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male in Werribee this evening.
Emergency services were called to an address on Ballan Road about 5.50pm to reports of an injured male.
A 17-year-old Wyndham Vale boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
A 15-year-old Wyndham Vale boy has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Two groups who were in the stadium for casual shooting. Fight broke out, and now 1 dead. Simply tragic.

Very tragic
Yes, it's a rough area and I'm told the kids are being particularly feral lately after having too much spare time on their hands during lockdown. More gang stuff and fights happening than pre covid.
Poor kid though. And someone just lost a son, brother. Sad.
