Shawn Bradley now paralysed

Very sad news for the 7'6" giant who spent a couple of years living in Australia doing missionary work before being drafted by Philadelphia.

It's hard to forget Shawn Bradley — all 7’6″ of him — if you watched him play for the Dallas Mavericks (or Philadelphia 76ers, or New Jersey Nets) during his eventful 12-year NBA career. Through a lot of ups and downs, he played the game with joy — you could see it in his face.

Bradley announced Wednesday that he suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury in a bicycle accident a block from home in St. George, Utah, which has left him paralyzed.

Very sad news on his injuries and wishing him all the very best wishes for the future.
I remember him when he was based at Mt Druitt(Sydney NSW) DOING HIS TIME FOR HIS MORMAN FAITH.

HE CAME TO OUR STADIUM AND I REMEMBER SEEING HIM AS HE WALKED THROUGH THE ENTRANCE TO COURT 1 AND HAD TO DUCK A LOT TO ENTER THE COURT AREA.

Absolutely awful news. The bloke was widely respected across the game. Now he is going to work to raise awareness of bicycle safety, what a champion.

Yes Mr. 76 will always be remembered for playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, wearing the number 76 and being 7"6'.

Wish him all the greatest in his recovery and hopefully he can gain feeling In his legs and get some more mobility back.
