Don't have too much intimate knowledge other than to say, I was made aware of the incident looked up the game video on their Facebook page (took a while to find the incident) as I didn’t know what quarter or time stamp etc.
Watched the preceding plays or trips to see if anything happened prior to the incident, saw a young Maccabi guard try to defend his basket cut and there was minimal body contact, watched the next 40-50 secs again and was shocked at the lack of defensive effort to close out rebound etc on another possession and then was even more shocked to see his cheap shot on the Maccabi guard.
Time stamp that I located was 1.08.30 to 1.09.30. Heard the Maccabi player suffered concussion and missed a week or 2.
Googled the player concerned and seen he had previously been suspended for 4 matches after he intentionally tripped a referee whilst playing NCAA 1.
Was already aware they kept him around during Covid and the new coach was lumped with him, could quite easily have been sacked for poor performance after the first couple of games before this incident.
