With a stacked Hawks team closing in on quickly getting to 50% in wins and losses, Flinn could have got them to this point. Sack him now, been outcoached a few times this year. The mystique is gone. Shit, even Lemanis is looking better.

Stacked? Their roster is very ordinary mostly castoffs and vagabonds no one else wanted, a couple of cheap G-League imports and two name players that has big question arks over them in Adel & Bairstow.
Goorjian is 10 years out of the league and with that roster they were always going to end up near the bottom of the ladder, in fact Goorj has done a great job so far to have the Hawks as high on the ladder as they currently are.
Yes tonihgt's game prved that statement to be so very wrong arse clown.

Goorj will be fine with the Boomers as he won't be saddled with the Adel fraud.
Hawks are 3-4th half way through with a complete new roster bar 2 bench players. I'd say goorj has done ok.
Kelly lost 1 guy and went from finals to last.
Bairstow, Jessup, Harvey, Simon and Adel, there's genuine talent in that group, but it's certainly not head and shoulders above the NBL, I think they're in the pack where they should be.
To pretend this Hawks team hasn't got some serious talent is retarded.
Next season they get Grida back as a backup g/f, release white, they'll bring in Mathiang and likely get Gaksolder brother. Jessup will be gone and they can get another import possibly or ns.
Genuine question - Gleeson is clearly the best coach in the league & it's not even close. Why isn’t he given a shot at the Boomers job?
Who cares who coaches the Boomers they will struggle to win anything.

Goorj likely came back to the NBL on the proviso he coached the boomers. Otherwise hawks wouldn't have afforded him.

Goorjian signed with the Hawks before there was a vacancy with the Boomers.

Seem on paper to be a lot better than other teams, strong start but heading south quickly.

Despite how you try to frame their pedigree......Not one of those players is close to being the best player in their position in the NBL. Harvey would be the closest the others are way off. The strength of the Hawks is their reasonable depth compared to say Cairns, Adelaide or the Breakers.

Gleeson is an angry muppet who wouldn't command the respect of the international players who we hope will be able to get us in medal contention. Bit different commanding nbl players to the Boomers.
If Gleeson got to pick his side an had two, three weeks with the team they win a medal. If players are so selfish and don't want to listen and get with system, don’t pick them. Look at the forty players picked for the training camp, most those g league bloke are in for not much, Adel is the example.
