I think if you ask around you'll find there’s a few West blokes with big "addictions"

West men addicted to losing?

Big loss to West losing DeSantis.
Big loss to Sturt losing Kubank. Is Joel Spear staying with Sturt as he's still mentioned on Diamond Valley Eagles roster?
Big loss to North losing Marshall.

** Forestville, how strong will they be without their NBL stars as the two leagues clash (NBL & NBL1)?

** I think the surprise will be North / Norwood and possibly South.

How close are preserved teams to full line ups given difficulty in getting imports and NBL players unavailability

Reserves teams is more who can play on a given night and not what squads will look like when nbl 1 starts

So basing any assessment of the NBL1 season performance on Reserves comp is seriously flawed?

Is it realistic to expect more imports coming into the league for the start in five weeks time? It seems all states have the same issue

Unless international travellers aren't forced to quarentine, then of course imports aren't coming. Cost is prohibitive, no way clubs are paying for them. Better looking at better leagues and trying to pick up some Australian talent.

If approved all imports must fly into Brisbane and quarantine there before heading to all other states

$2800 for hotel plus $4000 or more for one way flight

Larger clubs can afford 2 imports. I guess the detractors are small fry clubs.
Accommodation cars salary aren't an issue. That's a standard coward for all teams that use imports.

No I think the detractors are any club fleecing juniors to support 20 senior players and some coaches

Not yet , qld government deciding if they will let up to 50 imports to quarantine in Brisbane , Nsw premier said no .

This is for all nbl1 conferences

Lots of pieces to fall into place still

Qld premier says yes , timing?
Contracts to be negotiated if not done
Visas to be lodged and approved
Flights to be book at decent price
14 days quarantine to be completed

Clubs to decide if the time and the cost is worth it

From what I know of the NBL1 lists all men's teams could get another import except for Forestville. Probably only Norwood and Sturt could afford it

I'd imagine Coach Rigoni of Sturt would be pissed off after Mudronja and Hulland signed for South. Looks like Coach Rigs we'll have to rely on Daly and Spears, and don't forget his son Jacob returns from college this year. I'm sure Jacob will be joining his dad and be given free rein to prepare him for potential NBL aspirations. Either way, is that enough depth for Sturt to be a contender for the title?

Good point Jock, interesting about Rigoni's son.
Don’t forget Isaac White might come home after NBL Hawks season finishes as they probably won’t play finals. Maybe Paul Rigoni will get the old band together again? Either way how is Sturt affording this?
I thought the players play for the luv of the club.

If true about South buying more players, which I doubt, it makes Pettys comments when he first took over about playing South juniors even more ridiculous.
Then again he did learn from the best about nearly causing a club to become bankrupt because of big spending on seniors to buy a title.

no one plays for the love of the club @ Sturt.

Sturt steal all the good juniors from all the other clubs.
if Rags is mad at Mudronja and Hulland, he should probably apologise to South/Woodville/West for the blokes his club has poached from them over the years
