Craig Friday appointed head coach of Gliders and Rollers
Basketball Australia has appointed Craig Friday as the head coach of both Australia's senior men’s and women’s Wheelchair Basketball teams for 2021.
Friday has been the head coach of the Australian Rollers (senior men’s) since 2017, and under this tutelage rebuilt the program to claim an impressive bronze medal at the IWBF 2018 World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.
Having overseen a successful rebuild of the Rollers program, Friday - who takes over from Stephen Charlton – will also complete a similar undertaking with the Australian Gliders (senior women’s) as both national teams prepare for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games (24 August – 5 September).
