Any ideas on season 2021 fixture? When are the Big V going to get off their arse and get things happening. NBL1 already have draft fixtures out.
Teams are already training in prep for the season. Assuming that it starts like usual in Mid March, thats only 10 weeks (even less when everyone comes back from holidays in Mid January).

Bit more complicated then NBL1. Team registration just closing now. So give them time to sort who is in and who has opted out. Be guaranteed end of March tip off as usual.

BigV really need to re invent themselves. They are even less relevant now with nbl1 gaining so much momentum.
Move to import restrictions on lower divisions, adjust youth league to be open age like a reserve style system. Do something.

Big V won't happen

Is it good financial management to invest in an import when the associations have been shut down for months with no income? Would have thought that investing in your local talent for long term success would be better?? So interesting decisions to be made.
I have heard a lot of the NBL1 clubs aren't having imports. Will be hard also with the borders closed?

No one else cares. Don't even see people caring about NBL1 yet unless you are outside of Melbourne. I don’t think I have seen a single signing from an NBL1 south team unless Albury or Tasmania

You gotta understand mate. Nobody cares about what happens at Chelsea. It shouldn't even be allowed to play in the Big V. They have no juniors who can compete above VJL 4 yet they play State Champ Men. Seriously, invest in your juniors, drop down 2 grades, don’t spend on senior coaching and imports and rebuild. Come back in 6 years. And don’t give me the "pathways" rubbish. Create a pathway that is a realistic option for the ability of the kids you have.

Keysie don't play Champ. Probably never will get to the level Chelsea is at. Don’t put them in the same basket.

When is the heat going to go on the league to get something out about 2021? No draft fixtures, nothing. Assumption is the season is to start mid March like 2019, leaves about 7 weeks prep when everyone comes back from holidays in mid January.
They already have VJBL fixtures done, surely they are harder to do than Big V?

Associations know what is going on. Ask your Club.

Just heard they only have life member David on their committee. No one else is a financial member and don't qualify to be on the committee. They all need to step down or back track and falsify official documents.

What does being a financial member mean? I don't have a kid the plays but i coach within my club, i don't pay anything. so i can't join the committee?

Err have just seen a Big V announcement for Sr Championship women's team at Bulleen. Bec Cole joined. This makes 3 WNBL players. What’s happen at Bulleen? This is loading up?

Have they broken any bylaws? Or are you just salty?

Assume that after years of spending no money on anything, Bulleen have decided to put some money into their program.

They've been going terribly for years. Gone from a powerhouse almost nobodies, so maybe hoping that be spending some money they can reverse their fortunes.

Thanks but if Bulleen decide they have the teams and resources to move to NBL1 they do not need the ok from BigV. And seeing as some teams in NBL1 struggled I would imagine if those teams struggled again then some changes will.occur.

I'm sure it wasn’t all that long ago when Bulleen had both men women and both youth league teams in championship league. And a WNBL team. Was the decline due to over investment in WNBL? Or dropping out of WNBL?

They lack the junior club they once had to support it all

The demographic changed in the area although the new stadium helps them engage with the local community so perhaps that will lead to better teams/investment in the seniors

No - There is going to be expansion in NBL1 south for 2022 by at least 2 teams.
