Currently up 16-9, only five minutes in though. I expect the 36ers to win this game though, I think we have too many offensive options for them to handle. From what I have seen of the breakers so far i have been really impressed with Vukona when he has played. For the sake of my fantasy team I hope Bailey grabs half the teams rebounds and scores a bunch as well.

Is there anywhere that I can listen to the game?

I assume that it just wasn't built that way.

Oscar on court and makes a basket. Was sick on Sunday and Monday so hopefully he's recovered enough.

Up 29-14. 3:50 left in the quarter. Poor Breakers.

Awww, sharing:

03:30 36ERS - Basket made by [12] J. Holmes
03:29 36ERS - Assist by [31] O. Forman
02:32 36ERS - 3pt basket made by [31] O. Forman
02:32 36ERS - Assist by [12] J. Holmes

9 first quarter points to holmes so far - continues to shoot better on the road so far this season.

4 assists for Maher - must be loving it!

Everyone has scored bar Hambour and Gower who haven't seen the pine.

As someone said earlier... poor breakers

just a lazy 44 points to open up the first quarter with - ouch! I think that is one off the sixers all-time high or is that season high? (heard something like that mentioned a while back??)

Sixers strength this season continues to be the great, solid play of holmes, forman and hill - hashy to return as well. There aren't many teams that boast as good as players as we have 9 deep.

Was it Mcquade who was saying that the breakers defense was all that and more?? This is the sixers we're talking about here!!!

Adelaide scored 57 in a quarter against Newcastle in 1998. Newcastle had 72 in the same period. (According to the NBL media guide.)

We've had 50+ quarters four times I think.

Melzer is injured and off court but expected back.

Rebound count is huge! I guess NZ won't have much of a chance of getting many more boards if we keep shooting at the clip we are!

My tip - 7+ players with 15+ points and the gower and hambour machines to get some stuff on their stat line...

Bring on Hambour and Gower! On that topic, how is Gower allowed to dress? He's not a contracted player is he? Is Nash on injury waivers or something?

Thinking about that, the offence is obviously ticking over quite nicely, so who's minutes should Nash get on Sunday? Oscar's? Jacob's? I hope not!

Damn you Sixers! Someone tell Phil we need Rees, Cooper, Gower, Hambour and Holmes on at the same time.

I need there to be less than 204.5 points scored or I lose my bet.

Oh well, Sixers win, I'm happy. You don't need two kidneys anyway.......

Adelaide out by 40 8.33 to go. It must be a clean game or the refs are letting them play as Adelaide has only been called for 7 fouls on 7 different players. New Zealand have only been called for 15 fouls as well. 22 for the game with 3 and a half quarters done

Great win! I'd say that they are tough to beat at home but we've won about 4 in a row there so I won't.

I would hope that Hambour wasn't there as if he didn't get into that game it is bullshit.

Gower's minutes really paid dividends.

Holmes: 3 three pointers, very unusual for him.

Bring on Brisbane!

awesome win my the sixers. Everyone is contributed in this game. What a load of shit by Matt Maquade on nbl.com..2 pt win for us..hahahahaha. any way Holmes looks to have matured into his natural game. Which i might add is brilliant in aba level. He was shooting 3's all night long for the mavs.Well not all night. He has averaged about 18 points a game this season away from home. But i think he has got his confidence and this should be the turning point in his career. GO THE SIXERS >>>BRING ON THE BULLETS......COME ON SAMMY BOY U CAN CHOKE ONE MORE TIME FOR US CANT U? lets get revenge for last years quarter final.

Hambour needs to transfer to Sturt. Gower gets time and Hambour doesn't.....I think this sends a very clear message to Nick that he doesn't have a future in basketball if Gower can get on the court and he can't. Please tell me Nick had a broken leg and in those circumstances Gower got the close decision to get on the court!!!!!

At the Academy launch dinner, I seem to recall Maher saying something about Hambour having a neck injury last week. Maybe he was still a little tender from that?

Bizzy

Anon #55159 that's a bit unfair don't you think. Gower is a decent player and so is Nick. It was Phil's call and I'm sure Nick isn't holding to many grudges.

Isaac when I spoke to Nick himself last week his neck was giving him a fair amount of trouble. Maybe they took him over thinking he could maybe get some minutes but was too sore?

Reply #55167 | Report this post

Then why take him? Plane travel is hardly conducive to recovery from neck/back injuries. If game was close he wouldn't have got time anyway and IF a blowout and IF his neck is better he gets a couple of minutes.

Money well spent by an organisation flush with funds!!!
