Was there an investigation into Sixers off court culture?

Was wondering if there has been any news in regards investigating the allegations of a bullying and toxic culture from its previous hierarchy? Covid put a lot of things on hold, but there seems to be no word if it was investigated and any findings. Or have the Sixers used the pandemic to keep it all hushed up. If they have it's another huge failing on its part. Key cogs have gone but I believe some still remain in positions of authority.
Surely an independent investigation could firstly find out if reports were true and if so ensure they never happen again. But the club appears to have responded with the coach is gone, everything is fine, no problem. Pretty piss weak if so.

I think it was predominantly around the coach and his moving on likely resolved it.

Hi Isaac, but your statement proves my point, you "think" it was the coach. Investigation would reveal truth, just those leaked messages show that others in the club knew about it but did nothing. If proven those people should be held accountable.

That's the spirit, condone workplace bullying and encourage suicide as long as a basketball team has a good year!

That reminds me, what happened to that Melbourne United investigation into the fans that were abusing Bryce Cotton at the start of the year? That seemed to go unresolved too.

They did let go the entire coaching staff, release Kevin White, not bring back all 3 imports and Drmic and Froling

So id say amongst that group the problems existed and moving them on resolves the issue.

So its hard to say they didnt take action, just because they didnt make a public announcement.

Given all the alleged miscreants have moved on is it really worth an investigation.

Move on OP!

I am pretty sure the club came out and said they investigated it. A Player that saw it said it was both parties at fault. The player in question has rights and seems like he didn't take it further, so perhaps it wasn't as bad as has been reported on here.

Club has done a great job this off season. It is time for OP to move on

How has anyone condoned bullying in their response to this? The coach is no longer with the team; I don't recall any suggestion that it extended beyond Wright. For anyone who took issue with Kevin White's actions, he's also no longer with the team. They've had a fairly significant clean-out of coaching staff and players for good measure. If they delved deeper privately and endeavoured to build on that experience, I don't think it would benefit any part of the current or past club/staff to publicise it.

No because it would have been racist to investigate what happened.

The findings of the investigation weren't released but I think you can see the fruits of it. The team is basically entirely new.

Perhaps people should accept there were 2 groups at fault in this situation.

Did majority ownership change? Dont think so. The investigation should continue.

You can change the entire team but you need to learn from your past shortfalls then are you any better off?

To the people saying to sweep it under the rug, I really hope none of you are in any position of power.

Agree to some level and the GM who was over seeing the debacle is now a part owner.

JVG has been GM for one season. Wright has been out of control for 4 or 5 years. Current admin/hierarchy was not the issue. The issue has now left the building

Out of control getting teams to 2 Grand Finals? Getting 2 players to the NBA and one to Europe?

2 players came in with bad attitudes and bad work ethics and infected the group. Add the ongoing battle with ownership that has played out in the form of owner trying to sue the favourite son and the continuing on with asking the NBL to fine him. Add the on going legal threats to coaches , journalist and others and people wonder if the issue has gone. Nope.

Wright punched Sobey! What more evidence do you need to know the dude was out of control and a lose cannon. Should have been sacked on the spot

Correct, if there was any shortcoming of management, it was the fact they didn't sack Wright immediately when he punched Sobey. Punch someone at work and see what happens.

If White was man enough to leak some of the shit he and other players talk in their group chats, Wright wouldn't have landed in hot waterat all to the level he did.

That type of banter was common amongst the players (at the tine anyway) and with Wright. Wright wasnt a horrible person, they just only showed one side of the shit talking and provided no context. JW definitely wasnt hoping a player would go kill themselves. if you honestly believe that youre an idiot. JW is a player first coach who backs his guys and supports them through all kinds of shitt hat doesnt make it out to the public. Theres a lot of jokes that have been at his expense that hes taken, that could have gone to HR, but Joey isnt soft and can take what he gives.

Wright when he was there was lauded on this forum... Fans said he wasn't the problem that 36's unperformed nor players ill discipline on court.
Since he has been pushed, its easy for 36's fans to blame him for everything and also deflect it on to other teams.
Anyone that isn't a 36's fan on this forum see it all the time.
36's fans keep being you....

Something to say, "we take mental health seriously", we don't condone Wright's words, blah blah.
