As per the 'Cairns Post'. The veteran NZ guard has landed another NBL contract, with Cairns bringing him back for another campaign.

One contract for him, and another for his magnificent mullet. :)

Good signing, very solid and consistent player.

Underwhelming. Very.

Who else is available to play 10 minutes at point though. Beside Kevin White who is just as bad.

Kevin White would be a very handy back up PG in Perth. I dont understand this hate? Dude seems like a pro that would thrive in a successful team.

So terrible that one of the best coaches we've ever produced not only started him but made him captain of a team that made a GF.

It’s like he’s judged on that early 90’s NBA mentality - if he doesn’t average a certain amount of points he’s terrible. There’s a reason you’re on here undermining people’s achievements and he’s made a career out of the game you love.

'Just go get McDowell White'

Why would we when thats never been the way that Perth have gone about free agency?
Why go against a game plan which has produced 5 championships in a decade?

How many titles has your club won? Kevin White to the cats is a safe move. The Cats like security.

Kenny is fine. Serviceable backup PG.

The amount of people that still think that every position has to be filled by a gun player and that championships are won on paper astound me.

The biggest surprise with Kenny is that it took so long for him to land an NBL gig. He was a brilliant backup guard for Perth, and has done really well to extend his career with Perth. (Not the only Cats to do so.) A very serviceable backup PG.
One might say its almost time to replace him with a young up and comer, but the other teams seem to be hoovering up all the young talent at the moment.

re: Kenny I think it was that Aus-NZ series years back that really put him in focus for NBL teams. I know I'd never heard of him before that series, but he looked solid and landed an NBL gig not much later. Got an opportunity and made the most of it.

Kenny is a good back up signing

Kevin White should not be in the nbl.

WMW has not done much in recent years, his reputation is bigger than ability at present. Where is he ?.

Last seen injured in G League.
Correctomundo he has achieved little as a pro.
Still only 22.

McDowell-White as a backup PG in Cairns would've been really interesting.

Currently in Brisbane to play an abridged state league season (SE corner only) with Redlands.

Don't think he goes back to G League any time soon. Didn't do much with Rio Grande so thinking his agent wouldn't be receiving many calls at this point.

That was probably a condition of the new contract.
