According to the local TVnews in NZ. Breakers have not re-signed Scotty Hopson for the upcoming season, have instead signed another American supposedly rated "better" than Hopson.

Sounds like Lamar Patterson if they can confidently call the replacement an upgrade.
If it was Anthony, Delaney would be the 3 and Carmelo the 4.
i hope its not Anthony last yr was a bad joke about breakers signing him, mY guess maybe a NS

I think the new import is obviously Patterson
I wonder which club poached Hopson. My guess Melbourne or Perth.

I doubt he would be coming to Perth.
They need a backup PG, Starting PF & C
Perth needs a starting PG, I couldn't trust Norton to be a lead guard all season.
How about wel correct all the titles that are wrong. There are so many. Hopson MAY not return to the Breakers. Scott Machado MAY go to United and the list goes on.
Because there is no NBL next season.

Seconded Lovebroker! Either Hopson or Newbill would make me pretty happy with our rebuild. Suspect we can't afford them though if we have committed big $ to Humphries and an import PG.

Hopson "was their first choice for the premier import slot, but despite the Kiwi club being willing to go to uncharted financial territory to retain his services, he rejected their offer."

Will be interesting to see if he is picked up by another NBl team. I think he goes to Europe or decides to stay in the U.S. due to Covid.
