Matt Walsh on The Russillo Podcast

Breakers CEO Matt Walsh was on the Russillo pod that dropped yesterday.

Was a good listen. They touched on his pro career after not sticking in the NBA and a few NBL talking points.

Of most interest, Walsh said the NBL is the second best league in terms of marketing. Then went on to say that the level is competition is below the best Euro comps ('we have a payroll of $2 million, they have $15 million').

Went for about 25-30 mins. Recommend to others if you listen to pods.

Pretty much spot on re the level of the league and also the marketing of it.

Sometimes gets a bad wrap but generally is pretty spot on with his comments about the league in general.

Absolutely it is below the Barcelonas, the CSKA Moscows etc. NBL will never have comparable funds - I think CSKA spends about $40mil a year on everything which is staggering for any league that's not the NBA!
