I like HF a lot but don't really get this. Brisbane’s got a stacked front court, I would’ve liked to see HF get a starting gig somewhere.

A strong Adelaide presence in Brisbane particularly if Drmic signs.
Froling will get backup minutes to both Hodgson and Magnay .
Insurance for Magnay if he ends up in NBA.

Insert spiderman meme of Froling and Hodgson pointing at each other.

Good to see Brisbane continue to repeat the same mistake by overloading at a particular position.

I think Froling might be replacing Magnay.

Madgen . Though that would essentially be a swap if Gliddon does sign with Phoenix.

As a Bullets supporter, I'm not happy with this signing.
Look at his career so far... a LOT of red flags.

Two stops in college, the first at SMU.
He quit the Mustangs because of concerns over his role and lack of playing time from new coach Tim Jankovich. Froling said, it had been a "big sacrifice" to leave his home in Townsville to play for the Dallas-based Mustangs and the change had been difficult.
His new coach Jankovich had taken over from hall of famer and former NBA coach Larry Brown. Brown was well known for not giving minutes to players lacking intensity (Darko Milicic anyone?). I don’t think the Mustangs were sad to see him go.

Onto Marquette. Came into the team late in December. After a couple of decent early games, quickly moved outside of the rotation despite that team’s lack of size.

Upon announcing his departure, Conor Lagor of SB Nation wrote "Harry Froling Will Not Return To Marquette Basketball. The Thunder from Down Under will explore his options. *wipes a tear from eye*".
Fair to say the Golden Eagles said to Harry, 'don’t let the door hit you on the way out!’

Onto Adelaide and NBL19, his third stop and a step into professionalism. He reported in ‘reasonable’ shape and against a crop of studs (Grida, Naar, Acouth, McVeigh, Vague, Magnay (ok one actual stud)), took home the bacon and declares, ‘I’m ready for the NBA’. LOL. I don’t think I’ve typed LOL since 2005!

Moving on to NBL20, Froling became famous across the land when his NBL television commercial launched with the tagline, ‘Incredible is chasing your goals’.
Harry clearly chasing his NBA dream came in super fit and as the season commenced, he really lifted his play.

Hang on, wait a second!
Let’s get back to reality. Harry reported overweight and out of touch. From what I’ve heard around the traps, full of excuses. Joey Wright may have had some flaws, but he never had time for laziness.

Last year wasn’t a blip, this has been Harry Froling’s career thus far. If anything, his half decent rookie year was the blip.

No one doubts his talent, but so far, he’s been a waste of it. Harry, if you’re reading this, put down the fork!

Good description. He also did a few work outs with nba teams and never even made a summer league invite. Confidence is top level though.

You'd think Froling would be better off in Brisbane away from Joey, but Lemonass hasn't exactly been a beacon of player development. You could say he's been anything but.

HF will bow out even more with the lifestyle in Brisbane. He doesn't have the work ethic and will get sucked into the party/drinking culture of Brisbane.

Tell me who's had a better career and then tell me who's had more hype?

- Humpheries
- Froling
- Landale

I know which career I'd rather be having.

Meah, we don't know what has gone on behind the scenes of this deal.
Maybe being shown the door by Adelaide, even after Joey left, was a wake-up call?
Maybe he's desperate to re-start his career, and has taken minimum salary to start on the bench for Andre?

Andre seems to like having players who feel beholden.

I like this signing as far as give Harry a starting role but make him aware that Hodgson is getting starters minutes and make it understood to Harry that he needs to play hard or smart or he won't get back on the court... then Hodgson will give away a couple of boneheaded fouls and let Harry off... unless Vukona returns for Brisbane too

Vukona's done just a statue out there now he played on a year too long already.

I recall Joey Wright saying HF can be as good as he wants to be, which suggests he knows HF has a high ceiling, but also knows it is HF that is holding himself back.

Absolutely agree Zodic but my point is if and when Hodgson gives away boneheaded fouls and has say 2 fouls in the first quarter then will Andrej bring back on Harry regardless of how well he's been playing or will be try Harrison or maybe Vukona?

I don't think any of the three Kiwi's will be back at the Bullets next season. Richard Clarke was ousted halfway through last season.
